Can I get ONE MORE IO/Sec?
- Take advantage of zone coded drives. Adjust stripe size by zone.
- Add more cache to controllers.
- Replace 5400 & 7200 RPM drives with 10000RPM drives.
- Upgrade a RAID5 array to RAID3, RAID4, or RAID10.
- Upgrade 80MB/sec controllers to 160MB/sec or faster. Unless there are too many drives per controller upgrade to faster interface drives to match.
- Increase the number of controllers so fewer drives on each.
