Southeast Informix Users Group
The Southeast Informix Users Group (SEIUG) was founded in Atlanta, Georgia,
in 1990. At the time, there were no other existing
Informix user groups in our part of the U.S. The group chose a name that
reflected its charter to serve the needs of Informix users throughout the
Today, although local groups have sprung up in many locations around the Southeast, SEIUG still endeavors to serve the region as a whole, especially those areas without local groups. Group functions are regularly attended by members not only from Georgia, but from surrounding states as well.
Our meetings are usually half-day or full-day technically oriented seminars, workshops or training sessions. These events are often co-sponsored with the local IBM sales office.
There are no dues or other membership fees associated with joining SEIUG. To be placed on our mailing list to receive meeting notices and other announcements, fill out our On-Line Membership Application.
Job Announcements and Recruiting
There is currently no established facility for posting job openings to SEIUG members or for soliciting contacts from within the group. We announce our technical seminars and other events to our members, but we do not publish a newsletter or similar publication. We do not release our mailing list or any other member information.
Of course, informal networking with industry contacts occurs at all of our functions, which is one of the benefits of belonging to such a group. However, we request that such activity occur on a one-to-one basis.
The International Informix Users Group (IIUG) provides a job and resume posting service that is free to member individuals and organizations. We encourage the use of that service by SEIUG members.
PrivacySEIUG does not release member names, contact information or other data to outside parties.
International Informix Users GroupSEIUG is affiliated with the International Informix Users Group (IIUG). Members of SEIUG are encouraged to become members of IIUG. Membership in both organizations is free of charge, but joining one group does not automatically enroll you in the other. Visit the IIUG Web site for more information about membership in that organization.
