To test your database connection:
1. From the Windows Start menu, choose
Programs | Informix | Ilogin Demo
The ILogin window appears.
2. From the menu, choose File | Run.
3. Leave the Login Parameters blank. They will default to your server settings previously defined in SetNet32.
4.Make sure a stores database appears in the Stores Database field.
5.Press OK.
6. If the connection is successful and a stores database exists on the server, customer records will be returned.
If the connection is successful and no stores database exists on the server, a message will return stating "No ‘stores’ database is found on the database server."
If the connection is unsuccessful, a series of error messages and numbers will occur. Continue debugging the problem until a successful connection is reached.
