Well the world didn't come to an end on January 1, 2000,
and we are all alive and kicking for the new year.
New People!
Informix Ft. Lauderdale now has some new people!
Al Diaz, Sales Engineer, formerly with NCR 14 years, South
Florida native
Larry Sullivan, Field Marketing Rep, formerly with IBM
Janet Marotta, Field Marketing Rep, formerly with NCR
We welcome these new people, and hope the best for them as
they kick things in gear for the new year. Joyce
McConnell, Sales Engineer, stepped down from Informix to pursue some
new opportunities of her own, and we wish her the best of success as well.

MIGRATION to IDS.2000 NEWS

INFORMIX DYNAMIC SERVER.2000
Migration from IDS/UD to Informix Dynamic Server.2000
will be considered a valid upgrade pathway by Informix; under standard
update/upgrade policies, IDS/UD customers with valid support contracts
are eligible to upgrade to Informix Dynamic Server.2000 at no charge.
Although migration from IDS 7.x to Informix Dynamic Server.2000
will be considered a trade-up under standard policy, through August 31,
2000 existing IDS 7.x customers with valid support contracts will be allowed
to upgrade Informix Dynamic Server.2000 at no additional charge. After
August 31, 2000, standard trade-up policies will apply to this transaction.
INFORMIX INTERNET FOUNDATION.2000
Since Informix Internet Foundation.2000 is a new product
offering, there is no upgrade path currently available from previous versions
or products. Migration from IDS 7.x, IDS/UD 9.x or Informix Dynamic Server.2000
will be considered a trade-up and must follow all standard trade-up policies.
All other trade-ups must follow standard Informix Trade-up
policies as outlined in the Informix Sales Policy Book.
These policies may vary outside of North America. Please
refer to your local Informix Sales Policy Book for more details.
INFORMIX INTERNET FOUNDATION.2000
To encourage existing Informix IDS or IDS/UD customers
to migrate their licenses to Informix Internet Foundation.2000, Informix
will offer promotional pricing through August 31, 2000, as follows:
Until August 31, 2000, existing 9.x customers with a valid
maintenance contract may trade-up to Informix Internet Foundation.2000
at no charge.
Until August 31, 2000, existing 7.x customers with a valid
maintenance contract may trade-up to Informix Internet Foundation.2000
by paying an additional US$300 per user or US$6000 per CPU. User or CPU
counts must match the original license. Additional Users or CPUs may be
added at US$1,800 per user or US$46,000 per CPU.
Until August 31, 2000, existing 7.x and 9.x customers
may purchase additional new licenses for US$1,800 per user or US$46,000
per CPU.
