Purpose
The Sr. Database Administrator position is directly responsible for supporting all databases across the RTS enterprise. The candidate will primarily responsible for supporting our Informix DB environment with extended responsibilities over our Microsoft SQL and Oracle environments. The DBA will be responsible for all aspects of managing a Database environment to include backup and recovery, performance tuning, and capacity planning on UNIX/Linux and Microsoft Windows platforms.
Responsibilities:
Must have experience building and maintaining Informix Databases.
Maintain existing environment and perform database upgrades when necessary.
Ensure that successful database backups are performed. Database restores should be validated on a periodic basis.
Work with developers and assist with SQL tuning.
Evaluate tools and new product releases.
Help design and architect databases in support of development initiatives.
Provide after hour and on-call support for our Database environment.
Knowledge and Skills Desired:

BS/BA degree, technical certification, or equivalent work experience.

The Lead Programmer Analyst will support ongoing development and maintenance of Marriott's Sales & Catering System and other systems as required through development and implementation of software program code that meets user requirements and adheres to Marriott International standards.
Primary Duties:
