ONBAR ACTIVITY LOG

The onbar activity log is the place where Onbar will dump the status on everything it does. Onbar has been designed so that is will not put anything to the user's screen. The reason for this is so onbar can be run in the background or by a cron job without requirind a dedicated tty. This is the file you would look at to verify if a backup completed successfully of to get more information on why a backup/restore failed. (FYI--you can also test the return code from Onbar to see if it completed successfully)

The location of the Onbar Activity log is specified by the BAR_ACT_LOG parameter in the onconfig file. The default values of BAR_ACT_LOG is /tmp/bar_act.log
