Are you a Data Champion?

IBM started a program called "Data Champions", designed to promote highly visible and respected professionals within the community.

This is your opportunity to put the industry spotlight on the Informix community by nominating individuals who have made the most outstanding contributions to the community over the past 12-18 months. Please note that the deadline for nominations is Feb 8. Please send completed nominations to amitpatel@us.ibm.com.

The program was announced at IOD conference in Las Vegas late last year. With the announcement, we opened the program to the community so anyone can nominate a Data Champion (including self-nominations).

You can read more about the program at http://www.ibm.com/software/data/champion/.

You can see the inaugural list of Data Champions at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/wikis/display/champion/IBM+Data+Champions.

FAQ about the program are available at http://www-01.ibm.com/software/data/champion/faq.html.

The kind of contributions we are looking to recognize are:

  • Advocating IBM Data Management products and solutions with competence and credibility (content, blogs, thought leadership, event presentations, customer references and videos, etc.)
  • Sharing technical knowledge with the community, and providing support to community (books, blogs, forums, redbooks, articles, etc.)
  • Nurturing Data Management communities (online communities and social groups, user groups, regional user groups and communities - especially in emerging countries)
