The Informix User Group of the Philippines meets monthly in the Manila's main business district--Makati City. There are 70 members representing 41 companies both partners and clients of Informix Philippines.

The goal is to provide a venue for Informix users to gain information on Informix and network with other users in the Philippines for either exchange of knowledge and expertise/skills. The meetings include presentations on Informix related topics.

Via the efforts of IBM and HPS International the CIS LUG named IDUG(IBM Data Management Users Group) has started. Out first meeting occurred in March 2003 in Moscow (Russia). IDUG is a free to join organization for Russian speaking Informix and DB2 Informational Management Users.

Arizona - Phoenix

 
The Arizona Informix Users Group (AZIUG) meets quarterly (March, June, September, December) and meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month. They generally start at 2:00 P.M. and last 2 to 3 hours, depending on the number of presentations. Meeting are held in the local IBM office in Room 211 at 2929 N. Central Ave.,  Phoenix, AZ.

A typical meeting features technical presentations from Informix and/or from vendors of related products, followed by a question and answer session. Presentations from members regarding real life experiences with various Informix-related products and services are highly encouraged.

There are currently no membership fees.

The Southern California Informix Users Group (SCIUG) meets quarterly (January, March, June, September). The meetings are usually half day sessions with sign-in and lunch starting at 12:30 PM and presentations starting at 1:00 PM and ending at 4:30 PM. Meetings are held in the local IBM office on the second floor at 600 Anton Blvd., Costa Mesa, CA. 92626. The room number for the meeting will vary so check the SCIUG web-site at http://www.iiug.org/sciug for the most current information.

Informix User Group of Colorado (IUGOC) meets periodically in the Denver metro area for either half day or full day meetings. The primary emphasis of the group is training members in the use of Informix products and related technologies as well as keeping members current on the newest technologies.

When the Southeast Informix Users Group was founded in 1990 in Atlanta, Georgia, there were no other existing Informix user groups in that part of the U.S. The group chose a name that reflected its charter to serve the needs of Informix users throughout the Southeast. Today, although local groups have sprung up in several locations around the Southeast, SEIUG still endeavors to serve the region as a whole, especially those areas still without local groups. Group functions are regularly attended by members not only from Georgia, but surrounding states as well.

Our meetings are usually half-day or full-day technically oriented seminars, workshops or training sessions. These events are co-sponsored with the local IBM sales office.

There are no membership or other dues associated with joining SEIUG. We do ask that new members fill out a membership form to help us keep our mailing list accurate. The New England Informix User Group (NEIUG) meets approximately three times a year in the greater Boston area. Our meetings and membership are free. Interested parties can register at either of our web sites at www.iiug.org/neiug. We welcome all users on all Informix products from all five New England states to attend and present. Our meetings generally include new products offerings from Informix Corporation, User Presentations of Informix solutions as well as paid vendor presentations (vendors interested in presenting should send e-mail to Stuart Litel) whose products relate to Informix products.

Our general meetings have had anywhere between 25 and 200 people attend and we maintain an e-mail mailing list for future event notification. To sign-up for our e-mail mailing list, please visit our web page and sign up.

The Michigan Informix User Group meets once a quarter, usually at the IBM office in Southfield. Networking and gathering starts at 3:30. The meetings officially start at 4:00 and last about two hours. They include Informix news and at least one technical presentation that generally provides a demonstration and case studies. The St. Louis Informix User Group meets three times a year in the St. Louis area. The meetings last 2-3 hours and are usually held in the morning between 9 AM and 12 OM. No dues are currently charged.

The format of the meeting is: old business, general questions, and one or two guest speakers. Guest speakers may include Informix, member case studies, and partner/var presentations and demonstrations.

New York - New York

 
The New York User Group meets quarterly in the New York City Area. The meetings last from about 8:30 AM until 12:30 PM and start with a continental breakfast. No dues are charged for the meetings.

The meetings generally include technical presentations and demonstrations on Informix related topics as well as question and answer sessions.

Ohio - Cincinnati

 
The Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky Informix Users Group currently meets quarterly in Cincinnati, Ohio. The meetings are held in February, May, August, and November from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. We are currently looking for other board members to help organize the meetings and help run the group.

The meetings consist of user group business, Informix related presentations, SIG (Special Interest Group) discussions, and round table discussions. We currently are working on the following special interest groups: NewEra, 4GL, and DSA.

We are a newly formed group that incorporates a large area for the purpose of networking and knowledge sharing. We have member interest ranging from end users to developers, resellers to recruiters. We have an elected executive committee structure. Meeting topics are supplied by the membership. We also plan to hold at least one training meeting per year for our membership and guests on Informix related products as required by our membership. We are producing a newsletter, and will also be developing a software library for our members. Our meetings are open and generally informal.

The North Texas Informix User Group represents not only North Texas but Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. We also have people attending the meetings come as far away as Houston. The Group meets quarterly throughout the year, on the 2nd Wednesday of March, June, September and December. The meetings are held in the evening from 6:30-9:30 PM and are currently being held at Dave & Busters, located off Composite Drive. The group has about 80 members and the meeting agenda varies depending on the interests of the members.

The group's main focus is the exchange of ideas and assisting one another in all areas of Informix Database Engines and Tools. Informix/SAP engines as well as those for other Informix ERPs are also discussed.

No membership dues are currently charged. Non-Informix users are not eligible to attend. We ask that employment agency representatives not attend; however, if you have promotional material you wish distributed, please send the items to the above address and they will be made available to the membership at the next meeting.

Since its founding in February 1992 in Salt Lake City, the Utah IBM Informix Users Group has provided opportunities for idea exchange and skill update for database administration and software application development. We promote expanded usage and planning for future product releases.

The Group meets once a quarter -- usually at the IBM offices or at a user site or local hardware vendor location. Most meetings are half-day on a Thursday morning.

There are currently no annual dues for membership.

Our quarterly meetings have included presentations on support services through Informix Link and on Informix on Windows NT and Linux. This has been an exciting year for our user group and we look forward to another challenging year. Our objective is to provide technical tips, new product information and the opportunity to network with other Informix Users. The user group meets once a quarter. The meetings include technical presentations and question and answer sessions. The quarterly meetings provide opportunities to share information, learn about new products, get technical advice, discuss problems, share solutions, and network with other Informix users.

In 1994, to cover expenses and support continued growth and funding of events, WAIUG's board of directors implemented dues. Annual dues are $20.00.

Other benefits of membership are discounts on IIUG and WAIUG conferences, forums, and training events.
