Nomination Information

Have you got what it takes to run the IIUG?

Nominations are called for the election of the Board of Directors of the International Informix Users Group (IIUG).

To be considered for nomination you need to be:

  1. An active member of the International Informix Users Group since the 15th December 2007 and
  2. An active Informix user or alternatively work with the product in a development, support, sales or marketing role and
  3. Able to demonstrate that you can make the time commitment required to fulfill the requirements of the role.

Election Information

Information on the election process, candidate selection and IIUG board member duties is available on the IIUG Election Information page.

Please note the following:

  • You may nominate yourself. If nomination another person, that person must acknowledge their acceptance of the nomination in a separate email to the Election Commissioner at .
  • The IIUG Nomination Committee may, at its discretion, reject any nomination for any reason without disclosing such reason. No correspondence will be entered into.
  • After nominations have been closed you may be contacted, using the phone contact details you provide, to further discuss your application.
  • An election will only occur if there are more nominations than Board positions.
  • Following the election, the successful nominees will be required to confirm their availability. This will be by way of written correspondence with the Election Commissioner.
  • The election result will be officially declared by the Election Commissioner on the 29th March 2008 and announced via the Insider, IIUG web site or email blast to members.
  • The new IIUG Board will take up their responsibilities from the close of the IIUG Informix Conference in Kansas. There is no specific requirement that new Board members attend the Kansas conference.
