We migrated to Oracle in the end of 2003 and it went great.
Basically, we exported the 1000 GB database to flat files
using SAP utility R3load and imported into a newly created
Oracle database. The size of the database became 650 GB
thanks to VARCHAR.

I was looking at sapdba, but it seems not to be fully supported.

Full ack.

Full ack. again! But whatever you do, it wan't be FREE. "Attractive terms"
will mean, that you get some discount when you buy DB2, and that's why it
"should be the obvious choice". Lets see how "obvious"...

Why are all the things political today... ;-)

He/She really said "meaningless"? Sad end.

Maybe there are some "ex"-informixer out there, still reading this list, who
can tell us their experiences and give recommandations for the migration?
