Hallo,

You're right, TDP for Informix you cannot manage your tapes because it's in
fact the only interface which
onbar uses to communicate with Storage Manager (in beetwen, in TSM case,
you have also Client API).

Retention period says how long a mounted volume should remain active after
last I/O activity, default 60 min.
You set it during defining a device class.

I understand that Tivoli TDP for Informix has no facility to remove tapes
that have an expired retention period. Is this correct? Has anyone
written scripts to accomplish this or is there another add-on we need?
