Hi Hui

This indeed is very useful information..Would you be
able to provide any information on Veritas Backup
manager Support? The Redbrick 6.2 manual talks about
Legato and Tivoli only. I could not figure out
anything about Veritas..

(also called full backup), level 1 and level 2

how frequency changes occurred to your database, how
much data is at risk at any given time etc. I highly
recommend you to go through our Table Management

(backing up a database) and chapter 9 (restoring a
database) for thorough discussions on the
backup&restore solutions.3. 6.2 BAR solution extends
the backup media to a much wider scope. In addtion to
its continuous support of direct back up to disks and
tape devices, it also integrates third-party storage
manager system that is XBSA compliant. You can perform
backup/restore operations using these storage
management systems. Examples of XBSA compliant storage
management system: Tivoli Storage Manager, Legato
Networker etc. Please refer to TMU reference guide
(6.2) chapter 8, section "Using a Storage Manager for
TMU Backups", and Appendix B "Storage Manager
Configuration for XBSA Backups" for details. Hope this helps,--Hui
