John,

The permissions are different between the install of 2.20 and 2.21.

In 2.20 the directory OAT_conf and the file in that directory owner/group is
daemon/daemon:

rw-r-r daemon daemon connections.db
In 2.21 the directory OAT_conf and the file in that directory owner/group is
root/root:

rw-r-r root root connections.db

In 2.20 the directory Apache_2.2.4/htdocs/openadmin and it files and
directories owner/group are daemon/daemon, in 2.21 they are root/root.

In 2.21 when I change them from root to daemon it fixed the issue.

Question, why is the owner/group different for a 2.20 and 2.21 install for
those specific directories?

I installed OAT 2.21 and I am receiving the error "Adding a new connect=
ion
failed with : error code 8 - attempt to write a readonly database." whe=
n I
click to save a new connection that I enter under "Admin" -> "Add
Connections.

It works fine under OAT 2.20, I can add a connection with no problems.

OS: Suse Linux 10.2

Informix 11.50UC1

Has anyone ran into this issue?
