Linux Solutions show midwest U.S.

List members,

Below is information on an interesting Linux show in Toledo, Ohio, U.S.
Some of you may be interested in attending. The company that is hosting,
Unique Systems, is our Linux and server hardware vendor. We have been
quite pleased with their products and service.

Also, I think some list members are attending a Linux show in Europe.
Maybe we will get a report from them...

Information on the show:

Come to Toledo OH on the end of October for the only Linux Solutions
Show in the US. This is an expanded Linux Expo from the successful
shows that have been held in Toledo for the last two years.

The largest computer companies in the industry are flocking to this
show for their first opportunity to showcase real Linux Solutions.
IBM and HP are Gold Sponsors for the show and others such as Sun and
Oracle who are also considering sponsorships as well as Conference and
Exhibit participation.

Also this is the largest and only Linux trade show in the Midwest.
Toledo is right in the middle of the automobile manufacturing sector
and one of the primary transportation hubs in the US. These two factors
have lead to Toledo being a hot bed of Linux development and a leader in
the adaption of the Linux platform.

With Linux expanding exponentially and the market becoming much more
mainstream the show has changed this year to showcase solutions. This
has been done to provide a venue for management level personnel to see
real Linux solutions. Most importantly the Conference on Wednesday Oct.
30th will provide attendees the opportunity to see Linux solutions that
have been installed and talk to the actual customers who have made the
transition to Linux.

The second day of the event Wednesday Oct. 31st will be exhibits from
the main Linux vendors providing software, hardware and services for the
Linux market. This year the event will also have .org booths to
demonstrate Open Source software.
