Welcome to the beta test of the IIUG web based SIG forums.

We will test this list for a week or two to make sue we have the problems worked out, but now ANY IIUG member can log into the member area at http://www.iiug.org/members and click on the FORUMS button (sorry only current Linux list people can see this button, but when it is fully live all IIUG members will be able to see the button) and see the web based Linux Forum.

Special thanks to the Linux list people and Sean Durity.

A few new features this brings
1) All the old messages are now searchable and kept on the IIUG server

2) You can STILL post the same way thru e-mail and still receive thru e-mail, but you can also use the web area and you can get a DIGEST of the day's e-mail. The digest is currently scheduled to go out at around 4:00PM East Coast USA Time.

To sign up for the DIGEST version, simply go into the member area, and click on the SUBSCRIBE button and next to LINUX list is another check box for DIGEST. If this is checked you will get a digest version.

One more thing, ONLY thru this testing period will you have to be an e-mail subscriber to get into the web based area. After the testing is over, you can cancel the e-mail subscription and just get it over the web
