Hello PRASHANT VIRPARIYA,

I would like to solve your encoding issue. If you using Japanese characters in Informix Database, You need to set the encoding in the batch file. Your Batch file locating in C:\Program Files\IBM\Informix directory.

For example :
set INFORMIXDIR=C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\Informix
set INFORMIXSERVER=ol_agni
set ONCONFIG=ONCONFIG.ol_agni
set PATH=C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\Informix\bin;%PATH%
set CLASSPATH=%INFORMIXDIR%\extend\krakatoa\krakatoa.jar;%INFORMIXDIR%\extend\krakatoa\jdbc.jar;%CLASSPATH%
set DBTEMP=C:\PROGRA~1\IBM\Informix\infxtmp
set CLIENT_LOCALE=ja_jp.sjis-s
set DB_LOCALE=ja_jp.sjis-s
set SERVER_LOCALE=ja_jp.sjis-s
set DBLANG=ja_jp.sjis-s
mode con codepage select=932

Next you check this code is running properly or not.
In informix command prompt type
1. oninit -v
2. onstat

If you are seeing like the following line, the setting is ok.
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 10.00.TC6TL -- On-Line -- Up 00:01:59 -- 21568 Kbytes

Next you go to the client setup- setnet32
Here setup the ClientLocale and DBLocale for both ja_jp.sjis-s

If you are using the ODBC connection.
Click the Environment tab
set the ClientLocale :ja_jp.sjis-s
DatabaseLocale :ja_jp.sjis-s
UseServerDatabaseLocale : checked

Now, you can insert or retrieve the japanse characters without problem.
