There's no such thing as a dumb question - right?

Is there an easy way to log onto a box and determine what Informix
instances are running on that box? I know I can identify the number of
them with >ps -ef | grep oninit | grep " 1 " | grep -v grep. I can also
identify the SERVERNUMBERs by taking the PIDS from the ps statement and
doing >ipcs -ma | grep {pid} and then doing funky Hexadecimal math to
the get the server numbers. I'm just confused what the easiest way it
to get a list of servers.

I also know I can go to the $INFORMIXDIR and hope they followed the
default standards of setting up config files by doing a cd to etc and
then grepping all files in the directory for SERVERNUMBER, still rather
cumbersome.

Is there something easy I haven't thought of?
