I use some levels of SOA (staless business functions as web services with
Java) with Informix.
Informix it is not the real issue. It is used as a relational repository
and it works very well (because it is a very good database).
You need an application server. I am working with IBM web sphere and JBoss
and both work very well.

things as web services and using the services to compose useful business
software. I'm sure many of our IDS customers are using or devleoping
services. I'm not quite sure why one's choice of DBMS is a question.
