Dear members living outside US & Canada (and I know we are quite a few),

The "chat with the labs" sessions organized by IBM and IIUG are a real
success specially in the US and Canada were you have a toll-free number.

Well, now it is time for us also to get access to this knowledge freely!

Ok -- there are quite a few ways of getting an international toll-free
number but this seems to be complex, so here's the trick:

* Get Skype and dial the 1 800 number, it's free, from all over the
world.
* Get Free (in France) as your ISP and you can dial to the US for
free.

I have not tested or seen any other service doing that but there
certainly
are.

Ok Kate, here's the warning IIUG does not endorse nor recommend Skype
and
Free. Use at your own risk, Skype being now a subsidary of eBay if the
content of your hard disk is for sell on the auction site, IIUG is not
responsible, IIUG is not responsible for anything that could arise from
the
use of any of these services, tools, or whatever.
