AYUDA! estoy obteniendo ISAM Error -155

Buenas tardes lista!
Un placer saludarlos, es primera vez que me ando por aqui y quisiera saber si me pueden ayudar.
Tengo una instancia de servidor informix 9.40 en un RedHat Linux ES Ver 4 que me esta reportando error en un chunk primario y quisiera saber si existe alguna manera de recuperar este error.
La base de datos principal es una particion cruda configurada bajo el nombre mermot_online, la cual tiene un link simbolico a la particion de disco /dev/sda7.
Ahora bien, desde temprano en la mañana, el servidor esta reportando al momento de abrir la base de datos, que no puede accesar al catalogo del sistema. El error es el siguiente:
311: Cannot open system catalog (systables).
155: ISAM error: Primary and Mirror chunks are bad
Ahora bien, la solucion que me indica el comando "finderr" es que debo de crear un nuevo chunk, pero no quiero perder la informacion que tengo en ese dbspace.
El servidor no posee unidad de respaldo, y la unica manera que se hacen respaldos de la data es mediante dbexports, creando un archivo "tar" y luego mediante ftp se copian en otro computador y el ultimo respaldo lamentablemente no tienen la ultima informacion que se necesita recuperar.
Existe alguna forma de recuperar este Chunk? de restaurarlo? sin necesidad de realizar un restore del backup ya que este no me sirve?
Otra cosa, cual es la mejor manera de configurar una instancia dado que el servidor no posee unidad de respaldo? ya que en un principio los parametros de los logical logs backups se tubieron que definir de la siguiente manera:
Tape Device [/dev/null ]
Block Size [ 32] Kbytes Tape Size [ 10240] Kbytes
Log Tape Device [/dev/null ]
Block Size [ 32] Kbytes Tape Size [ 10240] Kbytes
