Going to Las Vegas in Fall...

Hi fellows,

I wanted to update you on the Data Management Technical Conference in Las
Vegas, this fall (precisely at the Las Vegas Hilton, from Oct 27 to Oct 31).

First a disclaimer:

Second, the very serious stuff:
I guess that US, Canadian and probably Mexican members know Las Vegas quite
well, in Europe and probably the rest of the world, Las Vegas is synonym of
Sin City... Although this ought to be true, it changes and Las Vegas is a
great town for entertainment. I often compare Las Vegas to a Disneyland for
grown ups. Of course, no visitor really wins some money over there, but
there are a lot of places for entertainment, such as Siegfried and Roy (book
now if you plan to go) or while you may stay at the Hilton, go to the Star
Trek Experience, great fun and great pleasure (http://www.startrekexp.com/).
This will certainly cheer you up after some stressing work session...

Highlights:
- IIUG negotiated a 150 USD discount with IBM.
- Get IBM Informix Certified for free. Sure certifications are not that
popular in Europe, that's why it is even better to have some on your Resume
/ Curriculum Vitae.
- The "Meet the IBM Informix Executives" is always fun (last year, it was
certainly the equivalent of the Star Trek Experience, I leave to you to
choose who were the Borgs).
- Much more... including meeting the IIUG board, including President elect,
Stuart Litel...
