Configuring Java support

I'm having a hard time getting Java support to work with IDS10 (10.00.UC4) on RHES4. I'm using the $INFORMIXDIR/extend/krakatoa/examples to test this. I first went through the steps of creating the sbspace and setting up the Java properties. However, when I try to run the examples [specifically, this line from the Env.sql: execute procedure install_jar(

"file:/u/ids10/extend/krakatoa/examples/Env.jar", "env_jar", 0);], the CPU usage goes to 100%. I don't get anything in my Java logs. In the online.log, all I see is this:

Killing the SQL command that installs the jar doesn't affect the CPU usage; it stays at 100%. I have to shut the server down and even then onmode -ky produces a message about getting no response after 120 seconds.

Any ideas about what I might be doing wrong or things to look at?
