Both password, os level and in database must match.

Art,
The informix entry is in /etc/passwd file.
There is no other user wanted to connected to db.
I am the only user Informix to do the oninit -i there.
Looks IDS wants to build sysmaster db but it could not go through passwd
verification somehow.
