Hi,

either the problem is what Art Kagel describes below,
or it is that during your "wrap - unwrap" procedure some
of the binaries lost some of their specific file access rights.

Actually I guess it is the latter.

I don't know what you did when you say "wrap - unwrap",
I'm not aware of the existance of such commands.
You can try to use "tar" instead. And with "tar" you have to
do it as user root (both, "tar cvf ... " and "tar xvf ...") to
preserve owner, group and access rights of the files.
Precondition for this to work is that the numerical user IDs of
users ("root" and "informix") and group ID of "informix"
should be the same on both machines respectively.
