Hi Ravi,
Can you just try a C program using the getpwnam() or getspnam() --
depending on the way the OS is set up .. using the "informix" ID and see if
it returns correctly or not ...

There was a bug found in AIX 4.3.3 (ML08) where there was a memory leak in
the gethostbyaddr() system call. Once, the MSC VP reached the 256MB limit
all the users would start getting -951 and -952 errors ... (Bug# 151445 ,
AIX APARs IY22194 IY21569 IY20860 ). This was fixed in ML10 release of AIX.

I don't think you hit this problem, but you can just check using the C
program and see what's the error returned in that, since within the engine
(MSC VP) we actually use the same calls to get to the password of the
userid.

Might want to check that userid 3200 is still in the /etc/password file and
the shadow file if you are using it.
