Hi there!

My name is Lars Daniel Forseth and I studied Applied Computer
Science at IBM in Germany.

My final diploma thesis has the title
"High-Availability Cluster Support for IBM Informix Dynamic

Server (IDS) on Linux".

As part of this diploma thesis I implemented the new
IDS Resource Agent for the Open Source clustering software
called Linux-HA, also known as Heartbeat (see
http://www.linux-ha.org for details).

The IDS Resource Agent manages an IDS database server instance
as a resource in a high-availability cluster running on
Linux-HA.

The source code of the IDS Resource Agent is already published
in the official development tree of Linux-HA and will be an
integral part of Linux-HA as of the next release.

Until the next Linux-HA release is published, the source code
can be obtained from the Linux-HA development tree at:

http://hg.linux-ha.org/dev/file/tip/resources/OCF/ids

Documentation, i.e. the actual diploma thesis and an
installation guide from the test system, is available
for download at "The Informix Zone":
