Are you thinking that DDW Site Manager tries to connect first to
sysmaster, before connecting to your database with the Web Blade
registered? Maybe it does, I don't know. It does need to get a list of
databases, to display them in the left pane; and sysmaster would have that
list. Does Site Manager display that list?

When Site Manager is failing to connect to database "sales", can you run
onstat -g sql
and see what the SQL and ISAM error codes are for the Site Manager
session? (Since Site Manager is not nice enough to tell you...) Also,
what database is Site Manager connected to, sysmaster, sales, or none?

From SQL Editor, can you connect to sysmaster@db_sales and execute this?
SELECT * FROM sysdatabases ORDER BY 1;

From Site Manager, can you connect to another database in server db_sales?
(If no others exist besides "sales", create one.)

If you think sysmaster is damaged, I believe you can rebuild it. As user
informix, run the script $INFORMIXDIR/etc/buildsmi (on Win NT,
buildsmi.bat).

Hi Friends,

Before i could still operate with my database for web site management
deals by DDW2.0 (Data Directory Web application) but now the problem
issused that prevented me from accessing to this database (e.g: my
database named "sales" on database server named db_sales), the only error
message said that "failed to connect to DB": db_sales"), however i can
still connect & work with this database via SQL editor normally, also
operating well with other database servers that i had established
connections to them via setnet32 setting.

My Questions: in case of the problem above, what right procedure to
correct this problem, i suppose that the databse sysmaster on db_sales but
i don't know which portion of sysmaster is damaged or wrong ?.

Anyone know this, pls teach me how to correct it.
