Re: Problems - IDS 9.30 - RH 8.0

4gl works fine.

What doesn't work well, is the 4gl debugger; at least for me.

Sometime ago you can evaluate these products, now if I'm not bad you can't.

I downloaded IDS 9.3 from IIUG and with the proper intructions it works
flawessly (Mandrake 9 - Cooked files... just evaluating...)

That time (IBM) Informix has a site that contain evaluation versions of
tools: 4gl, Debugger, ISQL, ..., demo versions for Linux (various
kernels), windows, etc...

I downloaded 4gl, Isql, 4gl-Debugger, ServerStudio (BTW this thing is
really cool).

From all, 4gl-Debugger has nasty bugs for me, and the best I advise (on
this list) I can get was to upgrade 'cause the product version has some
issues...

Now you CAN'T evaluate anyone of this! The download page no longer
exists... or I haven't found yet, maybe some day IBM get enligthed and
let users evaluate their products ;)

Anyway...

Chucho!
