In Response To: What are you using to produce nice looking reports (ROGER BURTON)

Any report writter that supports ODBC and most that support .NET connections
to databases will work adequately with Informix. There are several that
have specific Support for Informix databases, however, at different levels
of success. Among those are:

www.TableauSoftware.com - Tableau v4
www.DBxtra.com - DBxtra
www.razorsql.com - RazorSQL
www.aquafold.com - Aqua Data Studio
www.serverstudio.com - AGS's Server Studio - This one actually comes free
with all recent versions of Informix with all features available always and
only certain advanced features disabled after 30 days (you can purchase a
license from AGS to unlock those features permanently). It does have a
built-in report writer which IB is one of the free features that are
included with Informix.

I've tried all but RazorSQL and they all work well. Different features and
different philosophies of design, but they work with Informix (DBxtra was
having some trouble with their PDF output last year, but they may have fixed
that already - they were very responsive to a couple of bug reports I sent
them getting fixes to me in a few days).
