San Diego Marriott Mission Valley

The official hotel and the location of the 2012 IIUG Informix Conference is the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley — located near San Diego's most popular attractions including Old Town, Mission Bay and steps from the Rio Vista Trolley, with easy access to many of the top attractions in San Diego.

The hotel offers a full host of amenities and services, including gourmet dining, balcony views, and a beautiful outdoor pool. Guest rooms are well-appointed and business-friendly with high-speed internet.

Due to the overwhelming demand for this event, the San Diego Marriott Mission Valley is sold out of sleeping rooms. Although we do not have a special rate at the two nearby Marriott Hotels, their rates are reasonably close and if you call them directly you might be able to get the $139 conference rate by telling them that the main hotel is sold out. We suggest you check the following hotels. (Note: AAA members get a $134.00 rate at the Courtyard. Bring your AAA card in case they ask for it, although they usually don't. :) )

Special Room Rates for Conference Attendees

Rates include Internet access - wired in room, wireless in public areas (including poolside!). The hotel also offers unlimited phone calls within the USA. Check with the reception desk on arrival for details.

When you register for the IIUG Informix Conference you will receive a special Group Code to be used when booking your room at the Marriott. The hotel rate will come up for all days as $139 a night including weekend nights, but the weekend rate of $109 will be applied to all conference attendees prior to check-in. We apologize for this problem, but this is a limitation of Marriott's online reservations system which can only have one rate when booking online. Be assured that as long as the Group Code is used, the $109 rate will be applied for all Friday and Saturday night conference stays. This has been the case every year we have dealt with Marriott and they fix it at check-in for every conference attendee as long as they used the Group Code.

The hotel is 8 miles NE of San Diego International Airport. The hotel does not provide shuttle service.

Take Harbor Drive to Hwy 5 North. Take Hwy 8 East exit on the (Qualcom exit) left on Qualcomm Way. Turn right on Rio San Diego Drive. Hotel is on your right.
