Cheetah stretches its legs toward helping companies succeed

The recent release of "Cheetah," now called IDS 11, is helping companies such as Informa, Verizon, IMPIRE and WorldWinner sprint toward success, as noted in newly-available case studies.

Informa and IDS have helped companies to build efficient and resilient infrastructures for more than 20 years. Now, with the use of IDS 11, Informa has seen response times become seven times faster. Informa can now handle up to 300 percent more data without adding more DBAs. IDS 11 has also allowed Informa to grow in capacity while decreasing total cost of ownership (TCO).

Verizon, a telecommunications corporation, has used IDS for more than 15 years. With IDS, Verizon sees response times of under a second. Transactions per minute have grown to an average of 6000, with peak loads reaching 10 times that amount. Processes that once took eight hours are now finished in only 10 minutes. Verizon plans to upgrade to IDS 11, further increasing IDS business benefits.

IDS has helped IMPIRE, a German-based company, produce sports statistics quickly and efficiently. IDS 11 ensures that these statistics are available on-demand, thus allowing for reliability, business growth and customer satisfaction. These IDS benefits can be seen in a recent IBM video featuring IMPIRE'?s successes.

WorldWinner, a provider of internet-based skill games, has seen improvements with IDS, as well. The company hosts 600,000 games a day with IDS 10 - a 100 percent increase from the year before. IDS 11 could further enhance these benefits.
