Agenda: Enterprise Replication Lab
-
Update Anywhere -- Do you have 30, 40 or more tables or databases where any change needs to be replicated to all other tables/databases in your enterprise? Pay attention, this is for you!
-
Hierarchical push-down -- Do you have master control data that needs to be sent down to all participants in real-time (hyphenate alert!) to other tables / databases in your enterprise? This is cinchy.
-
Consolidate up -- Do you need to collect sales or performance data? What about capturing local changes to a master copy in a case management system? Oh, I thought you wanted to do something hard.
-
Selective round-robin -- Do you like to keep some local data in tables close to the vest but other data *in the same table* you'll share with others? Oh, yeah we can make that happen!
-
Finally what about if something breaks? How do you know? How do you fix it? Can you fix it? Yes, we'll cover that too. And the best part, you'll actually do it all as this is a hands on lab!
Now available at a bookstore near you, a new book on Informix!! Administering Informix Dynamic Server by Carlton Doe, bring your copy to the meeting and get it signed by the author!
